Climate and Sustainability Group Volunteers [NEW!]

We are excited to announce the formation of our new Climate and Sustainability group! Committed to addressing the pressing challenges of climate change and promoting sustainability in D-ERDW and ETH, we are seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to join our cause.

Our group aims to foster a community of proactive individuals who are driven to make a positive impact on our environment. Together, we will embark on projects and initiatives aimed at raising awareness, implementing sustainable practices, and advocating for meaningful change in our department!

Join us in the collective effort to combat climate change, promote sustainable practices, and inspire the D-ERDW to take action. Whether you have a background in environmental sciences, a passion for sustainability, or simply a desire to contribute to a greener world, we welcome individuals from all institutes and all levels!

To get involved, please reach out to Julian Rogger (julian.rogger@erdw.ethz.ch) or directly to us at VAME (vame@erdw.ethz.ch).

Join us and help us make a difference in the environmental footprint of D-ERDW!

Help!desk Volunteers

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to join the VAME help!desk at the D-ERDW. The VAME help!desk is a confidential mediation service for students and advisors, run by passionate volunteers within our department.

As part of our commitment to inclusive representation, we are looking for one volunteer from the Institute of Geochemistry and Petrology and one volunteer from the Institute of Geophysics/SED, both preferably male and upper Mittelbau level (post-doc/oberassistent/senior scientist). While German language skills are preferred, they are not mandatory.

Being part of the VAME help!desk is an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our department’s community. We pride ourselves on being one of ETH’s few departments hosting such a valuable initiative. Your involvement will be crucial in fostering positive relationships and ensuring a supportive environment for everyone.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like to learn more about this important role, please reach out to Laura Endres (endres@erdw.ethz.ch and vame-helpdesk@erdw.ethz.ch) or directly to us at VAME (vame@erdw.ethz.ch).

Join us in making a difference at the VAME help!desk and help us create an inclusive and harmonious academic community!
